Science Wall
Science Wall
Our Science wall reflects how the three main human systems in our body, Digestive System, Circulatory System and Respiratory System, work together to ensure our body can function properly with the help of energy. There is a detailed explanation with key concepts of how each human system works. The extensive graphics also provide better understanding of the concepts for visual learners.
Each human system is also accompanied by an interactive activity.
For the digestive system, there is a flip board where pupils match the answers and questions on digestive system.
For the circulatory system, pupils can visualise how blood flows through the blood vessels and heart by pressing a hand pump.
For the respiratory system, a lung model enables pupils to visualise the movement of the diaghragm and the inflation of lungs when pupils manipulate the diaghragm.

Volleyball

| Park View Primary School’s volleyball team was formed in 2001 by Mr Oh Swee Hong, a retired teacher, who is currently with the school as an adjunct teacher and is still passionately helping out with the CCA. Our volleyball team has consistently garnered honours for our school, winning medals in the East Zone Volleyball Tournament and representing the East Zone to participate in the Inter-Schools National Volleyball Championship. Together with our band of committed and dedicated coach and teachers driving and inspiring the CCA, we hope to build on our achievements and strive to attain greater heights in the coming years. |

Perth Trip for School’s Volleyball Team
Last year, as part of our End-of-Year Training Camp, our Volleyball school team pupils participated in the 2011Spikezone Primary School Volleyball Championships in Perth, Australia. Our pupils were able to quickly adapt to playing an Australian modified version of volleyball (designed especially for primary school students aged between 8 and 13 years) for the first time during the trip and did well. Our Volleyball team came in 2nd in the championships.

Choir
Our PVPS Choir was formed in January 2011. The teachers-in-charge for 2012 are Mrs Chowdhury and Ms Tabitha Chew . The Choir instructor is Mr Shaun Tan, who has had experience in training school choirs for the past four years. The pupils are taught voice training, singing techniques as well as stage etiquette. They will be given opportunities to perform for special school events as the teachers believe strongly in developing the love for the arts and nurturing our pupils into confident and resilient individuals.
